CCN Fall 2011 School of Leadership

The CCN Fall 2011 School of Leadership class is growing immensely as students are being challenged on a weekly basis through practical teachings and the Word of God. Currently, we have 20 enrolled students from 5 different colleges, traveling from 3 different states, just to be a part of the school. The courses provided are in-depth as students are being encouraged and motivated to be transformed into leaders. Not only that, but they are also being motivated to stir up the gifts, talents, and abilities they possess to proclaim the gospel. Through this, many students are desiring to continue on with the ministry in a leadership capacity so that they can sow into others.

New Campus Leader
We are proud to announce that we are now forming a Bible Fellowship at Lake Erie College (LEC), led by new CCN Campus Leader Dave Wible. We are so thankful to the Lord for this as we are currently established on 10 college campuses across the country. We are continuously thanking God for raising up laborers through CCN on the college campuses to reach out to students with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and are continually praying that even more committed laborers are raised up as Campus Leaders.

CCN Annual Women's Overnight Retreat
Please pray for our Women's Overnight Retreat that will be taking place next week. All of the women who attended last year were blessed and could not stop testifying about how the Women's Retreat changed their lives. This year, we are hoping for the same results as the theme this year is "Keepin' it Real."

Please pray for spiritual growth of all the women who attend, especially the college students as we would like them to grow into strong leaders on the college campus. Also, pray for repentant hearts in the women so that they can be restored.

Please pray for the planning of our 2nd Annual Campus Mission Tour occurring in the Spring of 2012. This Mission Trip is specifically designed for CCN members and CCN grad students only, to allow them to utilize their Spring Break by

serving the Lord and proclaiming the gospel to other college students in the tri-state area. The CCN Leaders are putting in a lot of hard work and effort into planning for this Mission Trip, so we ask that you continually pray for strength, and sound wisdom in the hearts of the Leaders as they continue to plan.

The Lord has done mighty things through our CCN Fellowships this semester, and we are expecting to experience greater things next semester. Please pray this for the CCN Leadership as well as they vigorously plan for upcoming events, important endeavors, and continually sow a great amount of time in discipling students on the college campus.

We are delighted to share with you some amazing testimonies of what the Lord has been doing through our ministry lately. We rejoice for all of you knowing that the Lord not only hears our prayers, but answers them as well. Thank you for your prayers and may you be filled with joy as you read some of our testimonies below.

PRAISE REPORTS

CCN Summer School of Leadership- We are proud to inform you that we will began our very first CCN School of Leadership throughout this summer. The CCN School of Leadership is dedicated to training up college students to become godly, biblical and mature leaders, who utilize their gifts, talents, and abilities to further the kingdom of God and to selflessly sow into others.

This intensive summer program is designed to challenge students to apply what they learn in summer school immediately in ministry. The course includes

in-depth Bible studies on topics pertaining to leadership and projects that require use of their newly acquired leadership skills. Students will discover and cultivate their gifts, talents, and abilities, while examining themselves under the microscope of the Word of God. Students are evaluated during the course and graduates will receive a quality certificate of completion along with free resources.

New Campus Leaders Applicants- Praise the Lord! We have been receiving many Campus Leader Applications lately. Our prayer is that these applicants will follow through with the entire application process with genuine hearts to labor for the Kingdom of God and serve through CCN. Just recently we interviewed a current student, Peter Lepera, from Philadelphia Biblical University (PBU) for a Campus Leader position. Peter was so fascinated by CCN that he and his brother, who also attends PBU, decided to come out to our Annual CCN Fundraiser Dinner. They were so encouraged by the students testimonies that they even decided to join us for our recent weekend outreach in Newark, NJ. So please pray that the Lord will continue to send us applicants who are willing to fully commit as a CCN Campus Leaders.

CCN Crash Courses- As the summer is soon to began, we are geared up for all of our exciting plans that we have lined up. With that said, we already have 3 CCN Crash Courses booked for the next few weeks. We are so thankful to the Lord for giving us opportunities to strengthen our brethren in local churches by encouraging and equipping them to share their faith with boldness and love. Please continue to pray that the Lord will open more doors for us this season to encourage and teach others in biblical evangelism.

Annual CCN Fundraiser Dinner- Our Annual CCN Fundraiser Dinner turned out great! it was blessing to hear the wonderful testimonies of the students and seeing the growth that the Lord has brought forth in their lives. Many non-students joined us and were blown away by the testimonies from the college students. Even more, the parents of some of these students were amazed to hear and see what the Lord has done through their children, as we also showed some magnificent videos of the students open-air preaching, witnessing one-to-one, and using their gifts/talents such as singing to openly proclaim the gospel.

PRAYER REQUESTS

Repent & Witness 2011- Our 4th Annual Repent & Witness Evangelism Camp is just about 2 months away! We are very thankful for all of the new and returning missionaries who applied to attend our Evangelism Camp this year. We ask that you please began praying for this 4- day Missions Trip in New York City as we diligently continue to plan. Also, began praying for the harvest in NYC, knowing that there will be spiritual battles to come.

Monthly Donors- Please continue to pray for Monthly Donor supporters for our ministry. The support of monthly donors will greatly help us to continually supply our ministry with essential resources that we need both on and off the college campus. Dear CCN Prayer Team,

We are very excited to share with you the wonderful things that the Lord has been doing through CCN this year. Lately we have been seeing an increase of Christian students boldly and actively stand up for Christ on the college campus through our CCN Fellowships. Not only are we seeing an increase of students, but we are also seeing an increase of faith, zeal, and compassion for the Lord in the hearts of these students which is even better! We are so thankful that the Lord is raising up laborers on the college campus, as it our vision to raise up Christians students that in hope once they graduate they can have the same impact on the lives of others in their sphere of influence.

Former CCN Campus Leader brings a student to Christ- Former CCN Campus Leader from Nebraska, Luke Cada, recently e-mailed us with a wonderful testimony, which shows why preaching the gospel is so important. Luke stated that about a year after he graduated, a student who he witnessed to on campus in his sophomore year befriended him on facebook and told him that he was now born-again. The student now attends a Christian club at Midland Lutheran College, where Luke attended, and asked Luke a ton of questions as a new believer.

The young man stated to Luke that he use to party and indulge in sexual sin, but always remembered the gospel message that Luke shared with him and eventually was born-again a few years later.

We thank the Lord for his labor through the ministry while he attended Midland Lutheran College. Luke was a very committed and dedicated Campus Leader who never gave up on his campus. He only had only one steady member the entire time he served as a Campus Leader, yet he still remained faithful until the end.

CCN Campus Mission Tour

As you may already know, our Campus Mission Tour will be taking place in approximately two more weeks! We thank the Lord for all the college students who have already applied and are praying that more do so. During the course of this 4 day Missions Trips we will be visiting to several colleges throughout the Tri-State to preach the gospel to thousands of students by open-air preaching and through the medium of song, music, and poetry. In addition, CCN is diligently training all applicants that will be attending, helping them put their gifts and talents to practice to be used by God to share the gospel.

Here is what one student had to say: "What words can I say to express what's on my heart right now? The CMT training was such a blessing and I'm so on fire! I can't wait until I get out there on those college campuses! I loved seeing the body of Christ working together of the same mind to proclaim the gospel...Hallelujah!"

Prayer Requests

Monthly Supporters- We are praying for financial supporters for our $10 Campaign Fund. All contributions goes directly into funding our evangelistic needs on the college campus such as gospel tracts, books, Campus Leader Kits, and other evangelistic tools. Most importantly, any support mainly allows CCN to continually spread the gospel message on the college campus by training up students who have a desire to share their faith and see souls come to Christ. CCN Campus Mission Tour- Continue to pray for the planning of our Campus Mission Tour. With only about two weeks left, we are continually receiving applications and are also training those who will be joining us for our 4 day Missions Trip. Also pray over all who will be in attendance. And lastly, pray for the individuals who will hear the gospel.

We are exceedingly grateful for your prayers as many of our Prayer Requests have been answered, all glory to God! We are planning to do even greater things for the Lord this year so we continually ask for your prayers.

Praise Reports

CCN Weekend Outreaches- Lately, we are seeing an increase of attendance in our CCN Weekend Outreaches. Not only are we seeing an increase in our college students attendance, we also have seeing an increase in non-student missionaries and friends from local areas who join us for our Weekly Weekend Outreaches as we preach the gospel throughout the tri-state area. As a result, more college students, missionaries, and churches are becoming more aware of CCN. Our prayer is that they continue to equip other brethren and spread the gospel biblically and boldly in their areas as well.

In addition, we had one of our students from Montclair State University (Bami who is from Nigeria) open-air preach for the first time at a previous outreach on New Years Day. It was such a blessing to see a young student lift up her voice like the sound of a trumpet and proclaim the Good News to hundreds of people. On top of that, she has been so blessed by CCN that she decided to have us provide her church with our free ministry Evangelism Crash Course, which we conduct to equipp local churches in biblical evangelism. Not only were other church members excited to learn about biblically evangelism, but her Pastor was so blessed that he felt that it was a need for CCN to come back and teach again so that others congregants can be taught how to boldly and effectivelyy preach the gospel. We are so thankful that the Lord is establishing relationships between us and the college students because we are seeing that the students are taking what they have learned in CCN back home to their churches and applying it. As a result, it is creating more opportunities for us to provide free evangelism training to local churches, and therefore, churches getting equipped.

CCN at Ramapo College - The CCN Chapter at Ramapo College is continually attracting students of a Christian background and have two members that are very committed. With only two consistent members the CCN Fellowship is standing strong. The next big step now is getting chartered as an official organization on the campus which will allow the CCN Fellowship at Ramapo to do greater things. Please pray that the Lord will raise up two more committed laborers at Ramapo so that they may apply to be an official group. Pray that the Lord gives strength to both Campus Leaders and members at Ramapo to labor vigorously throughout the semester to become an official group. Also pray that both Campus Leaders and members trust in the Lord throughout this process and pray that they faithfully seek the Lord with their whole heart in regards to becoming an official group.

Campus Leader Praise Report- As some of you may know, our Campus Leader at SouthWest Minnesota State University, Pastor John Chisham, conducted a Campus Tour Outreach a few months ago. Around that time Pastor Chisham's church was protested by pro-homosexual students, who attended the open air preaching at one of the campuses that was a part of the Campus Tour Outreach. As a result of the protest, Pastor Chisham's church contract was non-renewed at the local YMCA facility where they host their services.

CCN Men's Retreat "Men and the Gospel"- As you may know, we previously held our First Annual Women's Retreat for our female college students. This year the Lord placed it on our heart to also host our First Annual Mens Retreat entitled "Men and the Gospel" Assembly & Outreach. Please keep this event in prayer as we continue to plan for it. 4th Annual Repent & Witness Evangelism Camp- We are still planning for our Repent & Witness Evangelism Camp that will take place this summer for the fourth year. Please pray that the Lord would once again send forth committed student and non-student missionaries to take part in this 4-day Missions Trip in New York City. Also pray that the Lord would provide for us financially to offer scholarships to missionaries where they can attend with no cost at all. In the past we were blessed to be able to do so, and we are hoping to do so this year.

CCN-Ramapo College of NJ

In this current Fall 2010 semester God has been sending new students every week to the weekly CCN fellowships at Ramapo College of NJ! It was about a year ago in the Fall 2009 semester at Ramapo that the fellowship could only account for 1 consistent member. Now, the CCN Chapter at Ramapo has 4 consistent members who are passionate about standing up for Christ and sharing the gospel on the college campus. With the consistency of the fellowship, CCN is becoming more recognized at Ramapo, causing more of an interest for students to join or to stop and listen to what is being discussed, which is the Word of God. We praise the Lord for strengthening the students and the Campus Leaders at Ramapo by giving them committed and diligent hearts to press forward.

CCN's Women's Retreat

"Issues of the Heart"

CCN hosted its’ first Annual Women’s retreat titled "Issues of the Heart." All of the women who attended the event were very thankful for what they have learned at the retreat as they all gathered for a night of worship, prayer, and heart felt devotions. Here is what one attendee had to say:

“For a long time I wanted a teaching strictly for women such as the kind I found at CCN's Issues of the Heart. The leaders were open friendly and wise. I truly was convicted of things that have to change in my life and when I left there as I prayed on my drive home...I felt the need to repent of things that the Holy Ghost convicted me of during the retreat. The topics were on point with the things that single women in college deal with. I truly enjoyed my time there. I was truly blessed and had a wonderful experience."

CCN-LaGuardia Community College

Prayer Requests

CCN Campus Leaders & Members- Please for the Campus Leaders and members as some are preparing for their finals this month. Pray that they will be diligent in preparing and studying for their finals so that they can not get distracted in doing the work of the Lord by being unprepared in their classes.

In addition, some of the CCN members are struggling financially. One student is short on college funds while another member is without a job and has a family at home. Pray that the Lord will meet their needs financially. And pray for strength, courage, and confidence over these individuals.

CCN Outreaches- Please pray over all of our outreaches occurring in this month. Our outreaches dates are Dec. 4th. Dec 11th, and Dec. 18th. Pray that the Lord will fill our hearts will love and compassion as we preach the gospel. Also, pray against fear and ask God to give us boldness as we evangelize.

CCN @Montclair State University Event (Confessions of an Ex-devil Worshipper)
Many students from Montclair gathered anxiously to hear the testimonies of a former devil worshiper and serial killer who both gave their life to Christ. After hearing such powerful testimonies of David Berkowitz (formely known as the Son of Sam) and AJ (a current CCN member at MSU) many of the students became more eager to hear how they both escaped a life full of darkness.

Many students were very astonished at AJ's testimony as he was deeply involved in a Satanic Cult. What astonished the students so much was how he was delivered through Christ from such a dark way of living. AJ's responses always pointed to the cross. For instance, AJ explained to the audience how he currently has various murder attempts on his life, which is a result from leaving the cult. During the Q&A one student asked him was he afraid of dying. AJ response was "No, because my assurance of salvation is through Jesus Christ which makes me not to fear death but have everlasting life in heaven." Amen!

Dan Nicholls, a great friend of David Berkowitz, was another speaker who shared with the students life touching stories about David Berkowitz in his new life with Christ. There was also a 45 minute video shown of David Berkowitz which included how he was delivered from his practice of Satanism through Christ while in prison. Dan also shared with the students a letter written from David Berkowitz that was full of love and encouragement.

Overall, the gospel was preached and the hearts of many of the students were filled with awe to hear of God's saving power by radically changing a devil worshipper and a convicted serial killer!

SouthWest Minnesota State University (Campus Tour Praise Report)

Campus Leader at SouthWest Minnesota State University, Pastor John Chisham, linked up with Luke 10:2 ministries and other co-laborers to take on a 3 day Campus Tour to preach the gospel on 3 different campuses in the Minnesota. The crowds at these campuses were fairly big. On one campus a protest broke out from a group of homosexuals, where approximately 300 people were in attendance. Pastor Chisham gracefully invited the protesters out to his church after preaching and surprisingly enough they showed up! The group of protesters traveled almost 2 hours just to visit.

However, the protesters brought signs with them and decided to protest inside Pastor Chisham’s church while he gave a sermon. Although this was very disrespectful on their part Pastor Chisham, along with other church members, continued to show them love and allowed them to stay.

In the sermon, Pastor Chisham read from John Chp 19 and spoke about the punishment Jesus took on the cross for our sins. After hearing such a convicting and wonderful message one of the protesters began to cry while two others put down their signs.

Although most of them were still hardened in their hearts, Pastor Chisham continued to show them grace and preached the gospel to them after the church fellowship was over. What a testimony! Praise God!

Prayer Request
CCN Campus Leaders-Continue to pray for all of our CCN Campus Leaders and members as they are halfway through the fall semester. Pray for strength over their lives and that they remain focused and compassionate of doing the Lord's work on campus. Also, pray against distractions and bad infleunces that surround them on the college campus.
CCN Regional Mentor Leader/Campus Leader- Continue to pray that the Lord raises up more Fulltime Regional Mentor Leaders and Non-student Campus Leaders as we are looking for older and committed individuals to lead on our campuses that are non-students primarely because they are more mature in the faith, can commit more to their role as a fulltime evangelist, and as a Non-student we do not have to be concerned about replacing a new Campus Leader every year once a student graduates.
CCN Website-Please continue to pray for the construction of our new website as it is still in the process of being revised. Also, pray for our brother in Christ,Carmelo, who is working on the new website. Pray that the Lord continues to establish all of Carmelo's work and ideas to make the website better. We are very thankful to the Lord for Carmelo and all of his labor that he has sown into CCN.
Donors/Supporters- Please pray that the Lord brings forth more donors and supporters financially to CCN as we would like to be able to assist our CCN chapters on the college campuses with all necessary resources. In addition, we would like to have more a global presence on the colleges that our students serve on so we can evaluate and assist our Campus Leaders with all on campuses concerns and issues. This would also give us the ability to personally meet and work with our Campus Leaders one-on-one.

One strategy we are conducting to help make this possible is through starting a $5 campaign, in which we are asking individuals to become a monthly supporter by agreeing to donate $5 on a year-to-year monthly basis. Dear CCN Prayer Team,

Rejoice in the Lord with us for answering our prayers! The power of the Lord had been falling on many, sending faithful and committed laborers to harvest to continually preach the gospel. The Lord has been doing mighty works through CCN such as sending us donors, bringing forth brethren to co-labor with us and raising up more laborers to serve on the college campus. What a true blessing this is and more than ever, a beginning of a revival!

Praise Reports

CCN Saturday- Through the power of God, the Lord has been using our CCN Saturday outreaches not only to preach the gospel to the lost, but to encourage the churches and brethren in our local areas. Just recently, we had 23 brethren of all backgronds join us in our last CCN Saturday outreach and it was amazing! From Pastors to youth, the Lord have been convicting and compelling the hearts of saints to go forth and preach the gospel.By God's Grace we have been blessed to come across of multiples of Christians during our outreaches who were truly blessed and inspired as we preached.

One of our brethren simply put it like this, "The Lord is using CCN as a two fold ministry. To preach the gospel and convict the lost and to encourage the body of Christ and convict those who are not going out witnessing."

Another simply said, "The preaching of the gospel is like a contagious fire to the saints. It spreads and spreads to a point where the entire body is compelled to preach!" We thank the Lord for these wonderful testimonies..amen!!

Biblical Evangelism Training- Last week we hosted a Crash Course (also known as our biblical evangelism training seminar) with congregants from a local church who are from Nigeria. The congregants had a deep desire and passion to preach the gospel but faced some fears,especially when trying to reach those of a different culture here in America. However, at the end of the training they were drastically changed! As we taught them, the Lord opened up their eyes giving them more of an understanding of His Word of how to preach the gospel biblically, boldly, and effectively. The congregants were so encouraged that they invited us back to teach the entire church and take them out to preach. The Glory of the Lord surrounded us as we prayed and worshiped Him for what we have done. It was very heart filling to see how happy and excited the congregants were. Glory to God!

CCN Campus Leaders- By the Grace of God there have been many people sending in applications to apply for the Campus Leader position that we offer. We recently interviewed an individual from Pittsburg, PA, Jennifer Pepling, who also attended our Annual Repent & Witness Evangelism Camp this summer. Jennifer was so inspired by the work we were doing both on and off the college campus, that she felt in her heart to serve with CCN. We are very thankful that the Lord is raising up an army of believers who are mature and committed to the works of the Lord on the college campus. Please continue to pray for our Campus Leaders and potential Campus Leaders who are considering to take on this role.

Prayer Requests

CCN Fellowships- Please pray for our Campus Leaders and CCN members as they conduct their weekly fellowships throughout the semester. Please pray against all distractions that may prohibit them from doing the Will of God, knowing that they are faced with many wordly temptations. Also, pray that the Lord will give them dilligent hearts to take on their heavenly duties first, followed by their daily resonsibilities. Finally, pray that the Lord will open up doors for CCN on the campus for His sake, that the gospel may be preached through monthly planned events.

Repent & Witness 2011- Before we know it, we will be headed for another summer and preparing for our next Repent and Witness Evangelism Camp. We have started promoting for next years Evangelism Camp and thankfully enough we have a few individuals who submitted their applications already. We take joy in the Lord for bringing forth brethren to labor with us during our 4 day mission trip and are looking forward to what the Lord is going to do next year. Please continue to pray for us as we plan and pray for laborers to reap harvest.

The Ten Commandments (1 & 2)

Exodus 20:1-6

1Then God spoke all these words, saying,
Commandment 1
2"I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
3"You shall have no other gods before Me.
Commandment 2
4"You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth.
5"You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me,
6but showing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
By the Ten Commandments, true theology and true worship, the name of God and the Sabbath, family honor, life marriage, and property, truth and virtue are well protected. God starting at “You shall have no other gods before Me” is very appropriate. It begins and directs the path of the rest of the Ten Commandments. Without the God of the Bible what then would the Ten Commandments would mean? A failed attempt to morality? A way of life? You figure that one out. Okay, I’ll just say it, nothing. Yes morality is good, but what are the attempts of being good with out a moral law giver…God? With out God what accountability does one have to hold these Commandments?
“Before Me,” meaning “over against Me.” No pagan god is incompatible with Adonai, Yahweh, Jesus Christ. When Israel worshiped a pagan god it plummeted into religious confusion (Judges 17, 18).
New Testament
In the New Testament this Commandment is found when Jesus firmly stated.
Matthew 4:10
Then Jesus said to him, "Go, Satan! For it is written, 'YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND SERVE HIM ONLY.'"
God commanded us to place Him in the center; “You shall not make for yourself an idol.” In the Old Testament it was common that they would fashion an idol to worship. What is amazing is that we still do it today. Although we don’t build many idols today we do create a god in our minds. These gods are often called “my-god(s).” For example; my god wouldn’t send anyone to hell. My God isn’t an angry god. I’ll respond to that with; of course your god wouldn’t send anyone to hell, because he doesn’t exist. What kind of God would He be if He only new love. He would not be taken seriously. He would be a push over, but He is not I’ll assure you.
It is simple and very easy to create a god, because we don’t want to be accountable when we die. It’s best we face it now because we can be forgiven if we REPENT AND PUT OUR FULL TRUST IN JESUS CHRIST.
New Testament
1 Corinthians 10:14
Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.
It is very easy to want to worship another god. We all have done it before. As I mentioned…we don’t want to be accountable. On the Day of Judgment God will ask you if you held His Commandments. Have you placed God before all things? Have you created a god to suit your needs and wants? Breaking these two Commandments will cast you to the pits of Hell. We have no right to enter Heaven, but there is good news. God came in the form of a man, Jesus. He was fully God and fully Man (Hypostatic Union, Colossians 2:9). He lived a perfect sinless life and died on the cross for your sins, so that you may be forgiven. Christ died and resurrected three days latter. In His death we are forgiven. Through Christ’ death He was able to impute us with His righteousness if we repent. We have no righteousness of our own. We can’t earn salvation. It comes in the form of the cross and resurrection. When we trust Him He will count you righteous. What a beautiful thing, God will not only forgive you, but He say “You’re not guilty.” What a beautiful testimony to live with. Please repent and put your full trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is that simple. Please consider these words.

I am going to teach on the Ten Commandments in 5 parts. I’ll teach two Commandments a week. The Ten Commandments are vital to know.
Galatians 3:24 says “Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith.” The law was our tutor which, by showing us our sins, and leading us to Christ. It is only the Law that shows us our sins. It is only the Law that brings out our sin.
In witnessing the Ten Commandments are important. Psalm 19:7 “The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.” The Law shows the sinner they are not saved. The Law shows them they need a Savior.
This teaching shouldn’t be taken lately. This study will make you reexamine yourself. And so it should. Again, please don’t take this lightly. God’s Word is important and strong. Hold fast to ever Word that God speaks through His Word.

Here is what I taught for my final. I loved it. Oh, I was nervous at first. Well off and on. I still got the Gospel said. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed preaching/teaching.

The editing process was long. I edited it the same way as my evolution vs. creation presentation. I edited them so you see what the students and receivers saw. I want to bring the class room to you. It is not funny or relaxed like my evolution vs. creation presentation. This had to be a persuasive speech. Enjoy it.

Although no one asked questions after class, I know God's Word will not come back to Him void (Isaiah 55:11).

Well…for most of us finals were this week. I know it was tiring, but keep on pushing. For some of us, like me, had to keep on pushing threw the snow.

It may be easy to put homework before God and before reading the Bible.

I know you just want to hurry up and get this done. Remember you have to do everything for the Glory of the Lord.

1 Corinthians 10:31
Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. (Emphasis added)

Keep this in mind during the break and when you start the next semester.

1 Corinthians 9:23-25
I do all things for the sake of the gospel, so that I may become a fellow partaker of it.

God’s Grace

Romans 2:4
Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?

In this context kindness refers to “common grace,” the benefits God gives all people. In Romans 2 Paul was taking about God’s Righteous Judgment to all the Jews first and then to the Gentiles. Paul talked about how Jews practice the law and hold themselves righteous because of pridefulness in the law.
I love what Paul says later in the chapter:

Romans 2:25-29
25For indeed circumcision is of value if you practice the Law; but if you are a transgressor of the Law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.
26So if the uncircumcised man keeps the requirements of the Law, will not his uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision?
27And he who is physically uncircumcised, if he keeps the Law, will he not judge you who though having the letter of the Law and circumcision are a transgressor of the Law?
28For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh.
29But he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that which is of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter; and his praise is not from men, but from God.

Even though we hold our self highly esteem and we are nothing without the Grace of God. The kindness of God that leads to repentance is a gift. It’s not a gift what we hold in terms of today. It’s not an interchangeable gift. The Gospel is a proclamation and a command. It’s repent and trust in the Saviour, it’s not open me up. The way we think of the word “gift” today is we’ll use it until we find something better. There’s nothing better than the Gospel. Yes, it’s a gift, meaning free.
No matter if you feel that you are good enough or your works are good enough. Until you realize the Gospel is not about happiness and self-works. You will not understand the fullness of God’s kindness, His Grace. The Gospel is not about happiness, it’s about righteousness.
I thank the LORD for the LORD! His Grace is everlasting.

Prayer Request

Hey guys and girls. I just got news that I will be hearing from the school next week if we are official or not on the campus.

It's crunch for prayer and fasting. Especially for me.

God has plans for Davenport and I'm willing to do...no, I'm surrendering so that God will use me to the fullest.

Prayer Request list:
1. Pray that CCN will be officially CCN Davenport. The Gospel needs to be heard there. The Gospel needs to be heard everywhere.
2. Pray for Davenport. They are going through a transition. People are getting laid-off, some are being moved. Pray that Davenport does not need to lay anyone off anymore and that they get the help they need, because they are short staffed. If your school or job is going through the same thing I urge you to pray for them as well.
3. Pray that God's Will be done in my life and as well for CCN's ministry.

Happy Thanksgiving!

What are you thankful for?

I’m thankful that God’s is faithful to me. God is gracious to all those who repent and to those He has chosen (past, present, and future). God’s Sovereignty is so beautiful. “God’s dominion is total: He Wills as He chooses and carries out all that He wills, and none can stay His Hand or thwart His plans” (Packer, 1993).
I’m also thankful that my petition to become official on the Davenport University campus is pending acceptance. God is great and whatever happens He will always be great. It reminds me of that movie “Facing the Giants.” After the coach repented and turned his life around, he made a speech to the football team. I love what he said, “If we when we praise Him. If we lose…we praise Him.” God’s worthiness of continuous praise is eternal. God’s Hand is always at work. Even when it does not seem like it. I will still preach the Gospel if I become official on the campus. I will still preach the Gospel if I don’t become official. My life is for Christ. It’s a daily molding process, but I surrender all to Christ. Please keep CCN Davenport in prayer. I want to rock that campus for Jesus Christ. I want to rock other campuses for Jesus Christ. Long live the eternal King Jesus Christ. I’ll leave you with scripture that I live by daily. Remember…

I was going to only use part of this Psalm, but I couldn’t. The whole context of it all makes sense; only using a section takes the meaning out of it. The psalmist was proclaiming the Lord continually with his mouth. We have to stand up for what’s right. The only thing that is right is the Lord. The Lord is the only perfect thing in existence.
The psalmist only boasted in the Lord. I love the way God works. He died so He could take the credit. What better way to Glorify His name. No way can there be boasting outside of God. Only in Christ there is boasting. Boasting that we are forgiven, boasting we are redeemed, and boasting that He still loves us. We can’t get to Heaven on our own. No works will do, but only repentance and putting your full trust in Christ. When we go to Heaven we will be only praising and worshiping the Lord for what He did. Not what we did.
Once one taste and see the Lord they will never be the same. I know from experience. Those who find refuge will be blessed. You will be holy and you will have joy that can only be found in the Lord. This joy can’t be found in money, sex, porn, drugs, fame, or any earthly form. It will only be found at the foot of the cross, with complete humility and surrender.
When you surrender your all you know what the Fear of the Lord is.

"But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed, has authority to cast into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him!”

What beauty we have in a promise that once we repent we escape Hell. What we have in a God that truly judges righteously and just. We fear the Lord because He is the Creator and finisher of everything. Also there is wisdom in the Fear of the Lord.

Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge;
Fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Proverbs 15:33
The fear of the LORD is the instruction for wisdom,
And before honor comes humility.

Psalms 111:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;
A good understanding have all those who do His commandments;
His praise endures forever.

*It should be noted that no man can fear the Lord if he/she does not know the Lord. If you do not fear the Lord reevaluate your faith to take if you are in the faith.

I love that the Lord redeems His servants. A beautiful promise from God. Our work is not in vain. Are service is met with sacrificial love that has redeem us from the curse of the law. If we are truly saved we have Fear in the Lord and we are redeemed. There is so much to be said from that. That’s why I said context. If you look and search in the Word you get deeper and deeper. There is much that we can learn from God. Some people think when you get saved that’s it and study prophecy and other things. When you truly study the cross you can spend your entire life studying it. The beauty of the cross, the victory of the cross, the meaning of the cross, the wages of the cross, and so much more.
Please study the complexity of the cross. Your jaw will drop and your heart will swell. It will fill you with humility. The cross will make the strong cry and the weak lift their head in strength. The Lord is near the broken hearted, and the humble. The Lord will break the hardest of hearts so that He can get all the Glory. He deserves all the Glory and Honor. Remember we are the servants and God is Sovereign.

How Could God Do This to Us?

Everyday I check my mail. Wondering what I will would get. Like all of us we want something good, something that can benefit us for eternity. I received an email from Desiring God, written by John Piper. Everyday I think of the Sovereignty of God. Everyday I get more and more in awe. I get these mixed feelings of confusion and humility. This could only bring one to their knees. If not, too tears, if not that, make sure you are right with God.
Everyday I thank God for His Sovereignty. Everyday I thank Him for being Faithful to me, even when I’m not. This was a really hard thing to say at first, “Lord, thank You for being Faithful to me.” Especially when I have fallen face first into sin and know that without Jesus Christ I’m nothing but a dead man. “Lord, thank You for being Faithful to me.” Oh, how much that hurts and oh, how good it feels. To know that the Living God, the Living Christ is Faithful to us, for what? For His Glory!
God is Merciful more than we can imagine, how that brings me to tears. WHY.....for His Glory! The Lord is Faithful, yes indeed. The following is the indirect email I got from John Piper:

Thursday in Minneapolis it was so gorgeous walking home I thought: I should write a post on how astonishing it is that no earthquake swallowed up this city today.
Instead God sent warmth and crystal skies and cool breezes and golden leaves and hanging sea gulls over Elliot Park.
Amazing. Absolutely amazing!
We deserved the 52-story IDS tower to fall, and bridges to collapse, and poisonous gas to kill thousands. But instead God gave us over-the-top foretastes of heaven.
This is why everyone is crying out, where was God on Thursday! Where were you God! How could you do this? Why did you let this happen?
Everybody is saying that, aren't they?

Lord, thank You for being Faithful! Here’s a prayer I feel I should say:

Father, I thank You that we are able to come before you. Something we don’t deserve, but whom do we have in Heaven but Jesus Christ. I thank You for bringing us home safely; instead we could be died on the side of the road. Thank You for being Faithful and helping me stay away from sin that hinders my walk with You. I’m humbled by the smallest things, because You are at work in everything (Romans 8:28). For every sun ray and every drop of rain, there You are. For every smiling, for every distress, there you are. All for Your Glory. Father, thank You for being Faithful to us with every little thing and big thing. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Remember “we are the laborers and God is Sovereign.” Like in Romans 8:28 everything happens for a reason, and it happens for the Glory of God. God Bless.

HEY GUYS KEEP CCN DAVENPORT IN PRAYER!

I sent out the petition to become an official chapter on the campus. Stay in prayer with me. Excited what God is doing. We are the laborers and God is Sovereign.

He is faithful to save, but we must put our hands to the plow and work.
Everything we do is for the glory of God... everything we do is for the glory of God!

1 Corinthians 10:31
Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Being a Christian we have a HIGH standard to uphold the image God. That is what CCN loves, preaching the GREATEST Gospel too give God Almighty all the glory, because He deserves it. Do what we are told.

"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” Mark 16:15.

Whatever will happen, God knows what He is doing. We must always keep this mind. God is Adonai, master and owner.

Sharing My Faith

Hey, guys what’s up? I finally got a new video up. I spoke to my communication class about my experiences and goals. So I so spoke of CCN. It was fun; I shared what I could share, because I know they could only take so much.
It was hard because I wanted to say so much out of excitement, you can hear me stumble over my words. I love talking about God, and when I’m on a 3 minute time restraint, I get anxious. At least I know what to say and do next time.

Pray for my class, because I never had a class that showed that they cared for each other. Really 2 students said they “love us (classmates).” We are really open in that class it’s awesome.
Also pray because there were 3 girls that wanted to know more. One lady God was touching her heart, because she said “If I ask for forgiveness, and have backslidden, if I die, will I go to Hell?” I bluntly said “Yes.” Her face went blank. I went on to tell her, “If you are in court and you tell the judge, “I’m sorry,” the just being bound to the law, he still has to carry out the sentence.” I told her she needs to repent and she can’t only believe she needs to put her trust in Jesus Christ. Concern was written on her face. Pray for her, because I was going to talk to her after class, but she had to storm to work.

Walk In the Light

1 John 1:5-10
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

3 parts in the message of 1 John chapter 1:
1. v. 5 gives the message that Christ has given to John. God is Light, in Him there is no darkness at all. (Theological foundation)
2. V.6 & 7 describe the particle implications of this message (particle application)
3. v. 8-10 clarify a possible misunderstanding of these applications. (Necessary clarification)

Note: I am not going to touch everything at this time.

John talks about fellowship very seriously because it is important to know and understand. To really have Christian fellowship you need to talk about Jesus Christ and what He has done and what He means to you. This is fellowship. Not just getting together and talking about other subject. Fellowship is CHRIST centered conversations. This should be practiced daily. It enables you to see Christ working in other people’s life. The testimony of Christ brings encouragement.
It brings common desire for God on the table. Whatever that may by, or whom that may be with. Even if there isn’t a common desire it will drive you to their understanding of God, hopefully it will do the same to them.
It is sad to see that fellowship is labeled as something else, rather than what it should be. Sometimes it doesn’t happen purposefully. You or your friend can become easily distracted. Bringing in worldly objects and subjects will make you stray.
Proverbs 7:25
Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.
Important note is that there is NO DARKNESS IN GOD (v.5). Knowing you should be fellowshipping about Christ and not doing so is abandoning the implications in verse 6 & 7. Knowing this it can be fixed and reapplied. Don’t misquote me or take me out of contexts. Its okay to talk about other things, but what is the center of our life should be talked about the most, and that is Jesus. If it’s not maybe you might need to reevaluate your walk.
If you sports you will talk sports, if you love cheerleading, you will talk about cheerleading. If you the love the Lord Jesus Christ, you will talk about Jesus Christ. Again, reevaluate your salvation if you are not doing so. If have no one to talk to that’s understandable, but if you do and you don’t maybe you are not walking the light.
In verse 7 it tells us “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light.” “Walking in the light means living under the controlling desire for God instead of the world—the kinds of life you live if you see things the way God sees them and share his values. But note, it is a "walk"—that is, a way of life, not just an idea, not just a "position" in Christ (as some might say). Walk means life.”1
As easy as it was strayed, as easy it can return. Ridding of those things and once again placing God first will get you back on path. Although it might be hard, it will be worth it. Remember everything is for the glory of God.
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

1 Corinthians 2:9-16

9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

We can not receive anything with out the Spirit of God. We can not see with faith, because we are blinded. We can not discern the voice of God, because we are deaf. Also we can not comprehend things of God with our hearts. We are unable to do the following because we are flesh, and being of flesh we are sinners. Sin is the only thing we know or have known. Knowing nothing but sin has caused a problem. When we hear the gospel spoken, we hear that God has laid down his life for ours. It just doesn’t make sense whatsoever. It all is nonsense that doesn’t make a difference or maybe we might take it in to consideration after I do what I want to do.

1 Corinthians 1:18

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

If someone starts at the end of the book, the story has no meaning. People who are new believers, or just studying the Bible to find out about salvation, they shouldn’t start with Revelations. It does not make any sense to them. Why would all of the events happen as prophesied, why would Jesus come down and destroy the world?
The appropriate thing to do is read Genesis, especially chapters 1-11. It will bring some understanding why there is sin, why there is death, why there is suffering, and why there is so much pain.
In a culture that changes every generation or more like half generation, they are more and more disregarding the Bible as truth. They are taught that evolution has all the facts and facts means evidence and evidence is proof there is no god or gods. In this country they will say there is no such thing as God, or Jesus. The reason being is that they are taught that the Six Day Creation is just a myth. So when preaching to them about spiritual things won’t make sense.

If preached from the beginning (Genesis) it would shed some light on the true biblical gospel. When open-air preaching, sharing your faith, or witnessing this will help, as I said before this culture is quickly growing away from the Christian nation it once was. As experienced many people haven’t heard the gospel. Some have heard of Jesus, but not heard the true meaning of the gospel.
Telling them that death came because man sinned against God will open a door to acknowledge what the meaning of the cross is. In Japan many of the people never heard of the gospel. If preached about only judgment and grace they won’t understand why Jesus had to die. Going through Genesis (especially chapters 1-11), telling them about corruption, death, rebellion, and sin, will pave the ground to bring the Ten Commandments in. Showing them why God has a standard for life in this decrepit world will smooth the paved ground. Presenting the gospel and Who Jesus was and what He did will sow an enormous seed. (2)

By doing it that way the Bible was pretty much presented. The Spirit of God will be able to work in their life, because there are no gaps or holes left. The next time a laborer comes to that person it will help that much more. The person is eligible for conviction sooner. Only God can save, but it is our duty to preach the gospel and the Word of God. So when the gospel is being preached, it must be preached with full knowledge of the Word of God. Knowing that only God has full knowledge, you must seek God.

Psalm 63:1-2

1O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
2To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
Psalm 69:32
The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.

Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Read the Bible and pray consistently and have full knowledge that it’s only God that saves the person. Preach the gospel with love. When witnessing it is not a presentation, it’s a conversation. Making it a presentation you are more capable of forcing the gospel on them, and more important…there is no passion. The person will not relate to you because you are not having a conversation you are presenting. Remember you might be the only Bible someone reads (actually hear). You might be that person’s last chance to salvation before they take their step off into eternity today. Keep in mind that Hell has enlarged itself. We need this to stop. We need to enlarge Heaven. WE MUST ROCK THIS WORLD FOR JESUS!

Isaiah 5:13-16

13Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.
14Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.
15And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:
16But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.

Prayer

Hey, guys this David (Davenport University) asking for some prayer. As we all know this is our first week back to school for many of us. I’m new to CCN so I’m very excited. I’m trying to get everything going so we can become an official club on the campus. I have someone that is really excited about CCN. He even gave a shout out during a presentation to come see me. Please, pray for more people to be open to God and listen. I need one more person to jump on board to get this thing moving on campus. After that everything will be set in place to start promoting within the campus grounds. Thank you, God will give you the strength and speed of a Lion (Jesus) and gentleness and wisdom of a Dove (Holy Spirit).

Bold Witnessing

Bold Witnessing
Every one of us says we will die for Jesus Christ. But that is way too easy. If we really love Jesus we would live for Him. Now that is hard. That is a day in and day out lifestyle. Being a Christian is very hard. It takes a lot of discipline. It’s hard. Very hard. If any one says being a Christian is like walking on clouds is very wrong. That is why you see many people walk away from faith. It involves in a lot of work. A lot of surrender. Letting God mold you daily. Constantly doing what God expects you to do.
Being a Christian as I mentioned is hard. We need to work for God so we can see His emanating glory shine on this earth. The only way to really see His glory shine is spreading the gospel. Here’s a quote of a Man of God I completely respect that is not my father, nor my Pastor: “Born again believers don’t believe in personal evangelism.” - Mark Cahill. Here is a sad, sad, sad fact. Bill Bright said “That 2 percent of all Christians share their Faith on a regular basis.” Promise Keepers stated “90 percent of all Christian men had never shared their faith not one single time.” How horrible is that. Imagine how Jesus feels. All that He did for us and we can’t share our love for Him!
Maybe we really need to ask this question, “Am I really saved?” Harsh I know, but isn’t harsh you don’t share your faith the way Jesus intended us too. Jesus really loved us. Did you know He was spat in the face? People ripped His beard with their bare hands when he was carrying the cross over 600 hundred yards. That doesn’t even include the lashings He didn’t deserve, and the shame and embarrassment. Want scriptural proof, ok!

Isaiah 50:6
I gave My back to those who struck Me,
And My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard;
I did not hide My face from shame and spitting.

I would have hidden my face. I tell you the truth. Want some heavier piece of truth? This is a story from a missionary Paul Washer.
There was a little boy named Andrew Mammen in some foreign place. He had some people holding guns to him. And he said “Please don’t kill me. Please don’t kill me! I’m afraid to die, but I can’t deny Jesus Christ.” So they shot him in the stomach 5 times and he died in a pool of blood.
Paul Washer ended that story by saying “And you think you are a bold Christian because you wear a Christian T-shirt?” Wow, I got conviction big time. I love wearing Christian T-shirts. So that hit home. Don’t think there’s something wrong with wearing them, but it’s more important to verbally proclaim the name of Jesus. See how this little boy lived for Christ? This little boy did more than most Christians would ever do. We get nervous just by giving someone a tract. We act like it is so much work. We are scared of being rejected. When others are actually scared of dying. How sad is that? It puts tears in my eyes. Because I’m like that. Don’t you see how we make God a burden, rather than a blessing?

Holy Fear
It is hard witnessing. It takes knowledge of the Word of God to share it. So read your Bible for knowledge, wisdom and a FEARFUL relationship with God. I want to touch on the “Fear of God” before I talk about fear from the ultimate liar, Satan.
In this world we lost the Fear of God. To be honest I’m not sure if we ever had it. Either way more and more people are walking away from God, because the LACK of Fear. The Law of God brings fear. The reason being we have a high standard to up hold. Breaking this Holy Law brings judgment.

Hosea 4:5-7
5 Therefore you shall stumble in the day;
The prophet also shall stumble with you in the night;
And I will destroy your mother.
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
Because you have rejected knowledge,
I also will reject you from being priest for Me;
Because you have forgotten the law of your God,
I also will forget your children.
7 “ The more they increased,
The more they sinned against Me;
I will change their glory into shame.

There’s proof right there that there is knowledge in the Law of God. Again, there’s proof that shows that with following the Law of God there is Fear. We have walked away from the Law. Have you noticed ever since they took out the Ten Commandments in public places sin has increased? Because there is NO STANDARD for righteousness. The lack of knowledge brings sin.
We need to know Godly Fear. Godly Fear is complete respect. Knowing that God’s Will be done if you like it or not. When people witness they become fearful of rejection, or even being physically harmed. Yes, that is fearful, but God’s Word says otherwise.
Matthew 10:28
And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Now that is Holy Fear! Fear the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob won’t throw your soul into Hell and damnation. What is worse? Being embarrassed for a moment or being in Hell for eternity? It’s your choice no one else. See what the Fear of God will do. It will lift the hairs on the back of your neck and arms. God deserves it.
Too many people focus on the Love of God. Yes, the Love of God is beautiful, but on sharing your faith and converting a person on these bases only brings wrong intentions. Also a false conversion. With out the Fear of God by using the Law, the Cross won’t make any sense. They won’t understand why they said the sinner’s prayer when they only know the Love of God. Love with out fear can be easily pushed over and non-appreciated. Just like when you have a spouse talking about leaving, everything hits you. When it sinks in you realize how gracious they were too you. The fear of losing the one you love hits in over-drive.
Like God we can’t have a feeble relationship expecting Him to always bless you, and you give nothing in return. When you don’t feel God or hear His voice you get scared. All these thoughts hit you. Now, you are beginning to have fear of losing what you had with God. You start respecting God. You fear that you’ll go to Hell. Now that is Holy Fear! That is what a true believer in Jesus Christ has, Fear! Fear that we all are damned to Hell, but because of Jesus Christ God’s Grace is given. That is what needs to be shared with non-believers. They broke the Law and without Jesus there is no place to go but down. Literally. When they see the Grace of God, now the Cross makes sense, because of the Law.

Don’t Preach Hell & Flames
DO NOT SCARE ANYONE TO GOD! It will not work. Don’t preach Hell and flames. It will only push them away from God. God will look like the devil to them. There would be all fear and no grace. Bring them by the Law and show them God’s Grace.
Ray Comfort said “Preach 90% Law (sin) and 10% grace.” Why? He said it this way. “If you were to walk in the doctor’s office and he sat you down and talked to you for 20 minutes that you have a deadly disease, and you’ll die within 24 hours. He then said “By the way we have a cure all you need to do is take this pill.” He wouldn’t need to talk long about the cure, right?”1 Imagine if the doctor only talked about the disease and gave you the pill without saying what it was? You would go home and end up getting physically sick because of stress.
Again, if you preached half and half the person won’t see the seriousness of the disease called “sin,” and how powerful the “cure” (Jesus) is.

Fear No More
This is one thing we all need to get over. We have to keep in mind of the story of the little boy, Andrew. Most of us live in a part of the world that we won’t be killed because of Jesus. There is martyr’s everyday for Christ. Just as many are persecuted. “On May 12, Iranian police arrested 12 known Muslim converts to Christianity and confiscated their books, computers and printers in the southern Iranian city of Shiraz... All four were subjected to hours of interrogation, questioning them solely ‘just about their faith and house church activities.””2
Do you see how easy we have it. Kids get their limbs cut-off because he/she is a Christian. Villages get burned down, the men get murdered, the women are raped, the little girls are taken for prostitution, and the little boys are forced to join the Islamic army.
And we are afraid to give a tract out? We are afraid to witness? Yes, it understandable because those things have never hit home, yet. They will, read your Bible. You find out soon enough. While the time is still here do so. The devil is oppressing you with fear so that you don’t realize how easy we have it still.

2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

God will never put demonic fear in your life. God can’t even put Holy Fear into you. It’s just like faith, love, hope, obedience, and patience. We need to work them, we need to grow in them.

Philippians 2:12
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling…

We even need to work out our salvation. It helps to work on other people’s salvation to work on yours. Here’s something to help you get over that bump. In fact here are two verses.

1 Peter 4:14
If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.

Luke 6:22-23
22 Blessed are you when men hate you,
And when they exclude you,
And revile you, and cast out your name as evil,
For the Son of Man’s sake.
23 Rejoice in that day and leap for joy!
For indeed your reward is great in heaven,
For in like manner their fathers did to the prophets

Every time you get rejected for sharing your faith you have a “reward that is great in Heaven.” How awesome is that. There is no way you could lose in sharing your faith. Of course we don’t want anyone to reject Jesus and you, but you gained something from it. You know what else happened? You planted seed. Seed that God now can have other laborers water and work the ground.
I know, even knowing what other goes through and you can’t lose by sharing your faith, it’s still scary. The scariest ones are always the first one to do. They will get easier and easier. If you find yourself to comfortable do something extreme. I often hear Mark Cahill say “Every time you step out of your comfort zone, you step right into God’s comfort zone.”3
It’s a daily thing. It takes practice. Do not role play. It will take the truth out of it, and it will not get you over the bump of nervousness. Just like everything in this world that takes knowledge, you need to practice, practice, and much more practice.

Why Practice?
I know some things about why people believe in other gods or don’t believe. I know more about anti-theist. About evolution, the big band, and so on. I study why I believe what I believe. That is what the Bible tells me to do so I do it.

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear…

I don’t say this to boast myself. I say this because we all need to do so. The Word says so. The second time I every witness to someone I was nervous. It was around 10 pm. The cashier at the convenience store always worked there when I would go in there. The first time I walked in there to many people were in the store. I wanted a one on one conversation. I got scared and went into my truck, sat there for a couple of minutes, which felt like eternity. I got enough courage and made an excuse to a get a slushy.
I asked him “So what do think happens when you die?” I was like “Yes, I got it out.” He said he was anti-theist. We talked for about 5 minutes. I could have done better. As long as I planted a seed. No where does it say I must plant a perfect seed. Remember every seed you plant out of obedience and with the heart of God is a perfect seed.
That is why we need to practice. I experienced why. I got nervous. I didn’t let the Holy Spirit give me the right words, but in time I will be able too. You will as well. Not every one will be easy, but you’ll be glad you did. It’s worth it. If we really love Jesus we will talk about Him.

Luke 12:12
For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.

Sheol has enlarged itself
Everyday around 150,000 people die. That is 2 people a second. Most of the people are going to Hell, because of lack knowledge. One lack of knowledge is the wisdom of God. A lot of people think they can get into Heaven because they are a good person.

Titus 3:5
… not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit…

If no one gives them the knowledge to get into Heaven who will? People are dying and going to Hell. Hell is opening its mouth beyond measure.

Isaiah 5:13-15
13 Therefore my people have gone into captivity,
Because they have no knowledge;
Their honorable men are famished,
And their multitude dried up with thirst.
14 Therefore Sheol has enlarged itself
And opened its mouth beyond measure;
Their glory and their multitude and their pomp,
And he who is jubilant, shall descend into it.
15 People shall be brought down,
Each man shall be humbled,
And the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled.
16 But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment,
And God who is holy shall be hallowed in righteousness.

Compassion
Do you care that they are going to Hell? Is there compassion in your heart? Do you care enough to do anything about it? We need to take a stand. The devil is winning too many people over. I’m not here to scare you, but to give you the truth. What’s next is up to you. Are you going to listen to the Holy Spirit and proclaim the love for Jesus? I know He has already done that for me. So I’ll do the same for Him. Will you?
